Your role
Radio-Canada Regional Media is looking for a TV Production Assistant to work at our Quebec City station. In this role, you will assist the producer in designing, planning, preparing and presenting programming live, live-to-tape in a multicamera control room or from the field (electronic field production), and follow up on post-production in line with corporate standards and policies.
What you do:
- As delegated, produce visual material for screens, electronic displays, slide libraries, etc.
- Manage the preparation of show credits, supers and other production-related material.
- Attend production meetings and help determine production needs in conjunction with the production manager or program co-ordinator (production calendars and schedules, resource bookings, crew travel, etc.).
- Be responsible for locating and selecting audio and visual material from various sources and inquiring about rates and conditions for obtaining broadcast rights.
- Be responsible for the program’s continuity, timing and broadcast cue sheet.
- Occasionally fill in for the producer on certain tasks.
This is a permanent, part-time position in Quebec City.
What You Bring
Qualifications:
- College diploma or equivalent.
- Three years’ relevant experience that includes taking live programs to air in a TV variety environment.
Skills:
- Experience with live production in a multicamera control room, electronic field production and post-production.
- Good knowledge of all aspects of TV production trades.
- Broad general knowledge.
- Good knowledge of the Google Workspace environment.
- Solid command of French (working language).
- Stage management experience an asset.
- English an asset.
Candidates will be tested as follows:
- Interview.
