Role Description The Chief Operating Officer (COO) at GymTonic is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing daily operations and driving scalable growth across the platform. The COO will lead operational strategy, ensuring that coaching services, community features, and gamification initiatives are delivered efficiently and cohesively. This role includes managing cross-functional teams, optimizing processes, and implementing metrics to track performance, user engagement, and service quality. The COO will collaborate closely with executive leadership on business planning, financial health, and resource allocation, while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. The role also involves identifying operational risks and opportunities, refining workflows, and supporting the launch of new products, partnerships, and market expansions.

Qualifications

Strong Operations Management skills, including process optimization, cross-functional coordination, and performance monitoring. Demonstrated experience in Business Planning, strategic execution, and scaling operations in a digital or platform-based business. Robust Finance and Budgeting skills, with the ability to manage P&L, allocate resources, and support data-driven investment decisions. Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret operational and user engagement data, identify trends, and drive informed decisions. Proven leadership experience in senior operational roles, ideally within technology, fitness, or consumer-facing platforms. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment. Track record of building and leading high-performing teams, and fostering inclusive, collaborative work cultures. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or similar) is beneficial. Familiarity with digital product operations, user lifecycle management, and community-driven business models is an advantage.
