Role Description
Reporting directly to the Vice President, National Marketing- Retail Experience, this 12-month contract position is responsible for the overall planning and execution of marketing activities designed specifically for Bayview Village. This is an onsite role at the based out of the Bayview Village.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day marketing of Bayview Village
- Execute an annual strategic marketing plan outlining short and long-term strategies for all aspects of the marketing portfolio including traditional and non-traditional media, public relations, special events, social media, interactive, customer service, and tenant relations
- Prepare and manage the annual marketing budget including creating support schedules, coding and processing payables, analyzing variances, and reporting on the budget as requested
- Develop and produce all of the marketing communications materials including marketing collateral and print, broadcast, digital and environmental media.
- Develop, plan and execute consumer and community-based events including developing event concepts and timelines, securing sponsors, hiring vendors, obtaining swag bag items, hiring temporary staff, completing requisite insurance-related paperwork, and preparing an event post-mortem
- Serve as editor of the internal newsletter intended for the Bayview Village community, including writing copy, editing, designing the issue, proofreading, printing and distribution.
- Serve as editor of the Bayview Village website including producing content and content schedules, keeping the website fresh at all times, etc.
- Ultimate responsibility for all of Bayview Village’s social channels including management of social media agency, content strategy and planning, social listening and response, ongoing tracking and reporting.
- Oversee management of public relations agency and coordinate efforts that maintain the Centre in a favourable light, create interest in the Centre and promote special events as well as, increase exposure of tenants, build relations with key media, and enhance the overall perception of the Centre.
- Foster positive tenant, consumer, community and philanthropic relationships.
- Manage the Marketing Manager, providing employees with tools for success, outlining objectives, training/mentoring team members, and appraising work
- Assist Leasing, as needed, through research and marketing efforts with the collective goal of achieving 100% tenant occupancy, and support with creation of assets where needed.
- Work hand-in-glove with other management staff and employees.
- Participate in regular marketing meetings, staff meetings, one-on-one retailer meetings, agency briefings, etc.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications:
- 5 to 7 years’ experience in a related marketing position.
- Experience leading a team is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding and experience with various social media platforms.
- Strong organizational, planning and time management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to various audiences in a clear and concise manner
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and handle competing priorities and deadlines
- Positive and friendly "Customer First" attitude
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $105,000-$115,000.
The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual’s skill, experience, education and training, the market compensation of the role, and the consideration to internal equity.
