About the role
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Systems Testing / QA Specialist to lead and execute end-to-end testing activities across large-scale enterprise applications. The role involves designing test strategies, executing various testing types, ensuring system quality, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Planning Provide guidance on testing strategies, test plans, and tool selection Plan and organize testing efforts for large-scale GUI and non-GUI systems Identify required testing resources and timelines Test Execution Execute functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT testing Conduct specialized testing such as performance, stress, and load testing Validate system behavior under various conditions Test Development Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts Build and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, UFT, TestComplete, or Postman Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines Defect Management Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM, or Bugzilla Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues Data & Backend Testing Validate data integrity, accuracy, and consistency Perform data migration and transformation testing Write and execute SQL queries for backend validation Collaboration & Agile Participation Work with developers, business analysts, and project managers Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) Documentation & Compliance Maintain test documentation, coverage reports, and quality metrics Contribute to user manuals and release notes Ensure compliance with industry standards and AODA accessibility requirements
Must-Have Requirements
8+ years of experience as a Software QA Tester Strong experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps) Experience in functional, integration, system, and regression testing Hands-on experience in test planning, test case creation, and execution Strong understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall environments
Strong Assets (Highly Preferred)
Experience testing Oracle Siebel CRM applications Experience with Siebel Test Automation Experience testing Adobe AEM Experience testing COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) applications (5+ years)
Requirements
Technical Skills
Experience with automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, UFT, Postman, etc.)
Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)
Working knowledge of SQL and data validation techniques Understanding of scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Bash) Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems
General Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage time and work under tight deadlines Team player with strong interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with a focus on quality
Desirable Skills
Experience with CASE tools and test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr, QMetry) Knowledge of object-oriented testing methodologies Experience testing in public sector environments Familiarity with accessibility standards (AODA) Experience in security testing
Public Sector Experience (Nice to Have)
Experience with Siebel Public Sector modules (CRM, Case Management, eService, etc.)
Experience working on government or OPS projects
