About the role

This job posting is for a current vacancy.

Product Manager, Health Programs

The Role:

The Product Manager, Live Well Programs (LWP) is accountable for the end-to-end product strategy, performance, and evolution of Medcan’s clinically led Live Well Programs. These programs are a core component of Medcan’s preventive care ecosystem—extending insights from Assessments, deepening longitudinal relationships with clients, and strengthening retention, frequency, and lifetime value.

This role sits at the intersection of clinical innovation, client experience, and financial performance, and requires strong partnership with physicians, operations, marketing, finance, and digital teams to ensure programs are clinically robust, clearly positioned, operationally executable, and economically sound. While technology may enable parts of delivery, this role does not own software development, or digital platforms.

What You’ll Do:

Product Strategy & Portfolio Leadership

  • Own the product vision, role, and roadmap for Live Well Programs within Medcan’s broader Product Portfolio Strategy.
  • Clearly define the job each LWP plays in the portfolio (e.g., assessment extension, frequency driver, retention lever, attach opportunity).
  • Translate portfolio strategy into prioritized investment decisions, balancing clinical impact, client value, and P&L outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to evolve LWP as both deepening products for existing clients and on-ramps for new clients where appropriate.
  • Own pricing strategy for LWPs, including price architecture, packaging, and value articulation—ensuring pricing aligns with clinical value, market context, and portfolio objectives.

P&L Ownership & Financial Management (New)

  • Own the P&L for the Live Well Programs portfolio, including revenue, cost structure, margin performance, and contribution to the broader Assessments + Membership flywheel.
  • Partner with Finance to set annual budgets, forecasts, and targets; monitor performance vs. plan; and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Drive margin improvement through pricing optimization, mix management, program design decisions, capacity utilization, and cost discipline.
  • Establish clear unit economics and business cases for new programs, enhancements, and pilots (e.g., expected uptake, attach, margin, and payback).
  • Ensure transparent, reliable performance reporting for executives and the board, linking product decisions to financial outcomes.

Clinical Program Development & Governance

  • Partner closely with clinical leaders and physicians to design, refresh, and evolve programs that are evidence-based, outcomes-oriented, and aligned to Medcan’s clinical points of view.
  • Ensure appropriate clinical governance, longitudinal care models, and program standards are in place and consistently applied.
  • Translate clinical intent into clear program structures, eligibility criteria, care pathways, and client-facing value propositions.

Client Experience & Journey Integration

  • Ensure Live Well Programs are seamlessly integrated into the end-to-end client journey, particularly as extensions of Assessments and Membership.
  • Use client feedback (e.g., CSAT, journey mapping) to continuously improve program clarity, onboarding, and experience quality.
  • Work with Digital and Operations teams to support scalable, client-friendly delivery across in-clinic and hybrid models.

Go-To-Market & Performance Management

  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Physician Engagement teams to define clear positioning, targeting, and GTM approaches for each program.
  • Own key product performance metrics (e.g., adoption, attach, retention impact, frequency, CSAT, revenue and margin contribution).
  • Identify and address friction in lead flow, conversion, tagging, and performance visibility for LWP.
  • Support education and enablement for physicians and client-facing teams to drive appropriate referrals and program uptake.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Act as the single point of product accountability for Live Well Programs across clinical, operational, commercial, financial, and digital stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional working sessions to align on priorities, sequencing, and trade-offs.
  • Contribute to executive and board-level materials related to portfolio strategy, P&L performance, and growth opportunities.

What You’ll Need:

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, healthcare strategy, or clinical program development
  • Experience working with clinically led products or services (preventive care, chronic care, wellness, or longitudinal models strongly preferred)
  • Proven ability to operate at both strategic and executional altitude
  • Strong analytical skills with comfort using data to inform prioritization and performance decisions
  • Exceptional cross‑functional leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to translate complex clinical concepts into clear product narratives and decisions
  • Experience working in a healthcare or clinical environment (e.g., nursing, allied health, clinical operations) is an asset, as it supports stronger understanding of clinical workflows, terminology, and care pathways, but is not required

This role is likely not a fit if you:

  • Have primarily managed software, SaaS, or digital products
  • Are seeking ownership of engineering teams, technical roadmaps, or backlogs
  • Have limited exposure to healthcare, clinical operations, or service delivery environments
