All About The Role This role is part of the Courier Pay & Optimization team, within the Delco Logistics department. The Delco (delivery by courier) delivery model is a network of self-supporting delivery contractors across global markets.
As the Courier Pay Optimization Senior Analyst, you will play a key role in developing a comprehensive approach to courier pay. You will be responsible for data insights to drive short-term tactical changes and contributing analysis to support the long-term pay strategy. Working closely with various global functions, including markets, product, and data science teams, you will leverage economic frameworks to assess network performance, courier behaviour, and market conditions with a focus on enhancing courier pay and incentives.
*Location: Hybrid- 3 days a week from our Toronto or Winnipeg office & 2 days working from home
Reporting to: Head of Delivery Pay & Optimization* These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
- Support key courier pay initiatives by providing data, insights and recommendations.
- Deep dive into courier pay issues, tools or product features to find opportunities for improvement.
- Apply statistical modeling methods to assess the potential impact of courier pay strategies on profitability and evaluate their implementation.
- Collaborate with markets adopting the contractor delivery model to refine and enhance courier pay and incentive programs.
- Communicate data insights and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
What will you bring to the table?
- 3-5+ years’ experience in analytics or a related role.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with complex data structures.
- Visualisation skills with Tableau / Looker (or similar) and Google Sheets
- Familiarity with A/B testing, experimental design, and statistical analysis.
- Proactive, self-motivated and curious, ability to run with an idea.
- Adaptability to work in a dynamic and ambiguous environment, where priorities may change and new business obstacles may arise.
- Work well under pressure and can balance multiple priorities.
- Great communication skills and able to explain data to various audiences.
