About the role

POSITION: Secondary Teacher - temporary

ASSIGNMENT: English (Gr 10-12)

FTE: 1.0

LOCATION: Correlieu Secondary School

EFFECTIVE DATES: Commencing February 2, 2026 until June 30, 2026, or earlier depending on the return of the incumbent

Basic Qualifications: A successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch AND possess one or more of the following:

Training Specialization: Secondary Education with a major in English

**Related Teaching Experience: **Recent successful experience as a Secondary English Teacher

**A Reasonable Expectation: **based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development, and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff.

Additional Qualifications: Two or more courses at the 300 or 400 level in English

The starting annual salary for the full-time Teacher ranges from $61,175 to $109, 520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. We also offer a competitive benefits package and pension.
