**Position Status:**Temporary Full-time (1.0 FTE)

EFW Radiology is currently seeking a**Temporary****IT Operations Student (May- Aug 2026)**to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional patient care!

EFW Radiology owns and operates twelve community-based clinics providing Diagnostic Imaging, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Pain Management services.

The Role:

The IT Operations Student is responsible for assisting in the daily operational activities of the IT Operations team. This role provides hands-on experience in service desk support, infrastructure maintenance, device lifecycle management, and process documentation. The position includes regular onsite visits to EFW clinics across the Calgary area to assist with user support and device deployment activities.

**Reporting to:**IT Operations Manager

The Role Overview:

  • Provide first-level troubleshooting for hardware, software, and basic network issues;
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding tasks, including device setup, account provisioning, permissions updates, and workstation configuration;
  • Respond to service desk tickets in a timely, customer-focused manner to ensure an excellent end-user experience;
  • Consistent adherence to IT processes, asset management procedures, and service standards;
  • Support device lifecycle tasks such as imaging, deployment, retrieval, and asset tagging;
  • Update and maintain IT knowledge base articles, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and asset inventory records;
  • Document recurring technical issues and propose solutions to minimize repeat incidents;
  • Contribute ideas and feedback to enhance workflows, automation opportunities, and end-user experience;
  • Work closely with IT Operations Analysts and other IT teams on small projects and operational tasks;
  • Support team members during high-demand periods to help maintain service levels;
  • Participate in team meetings, providing updates on assigned tasks and ongoing activities;
  • Undertakes other related duties as assigned.

You have the following:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Eligibility for a co-op, internship, or student placement program is an asset.
  • Previous IT support or customer service experience is an asset.
  • Familiarity with Windows OS, Office 365, and basic networking concepts.
  • Strong interest in technology, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel locally to clinic locations within Calgary.

**Schedule:**Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.
