What you will do
The Legal intern is responsible for supporting the legal and administrative needs of the Legal department. You will assist with a broad range of Corporate and Commercial legal matters, providing research and support to in-house counsel and Legal leadership. This is an opportunity for the summer.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Assist with legal research on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters
- Update and standardize contract templates and assist with preparing guidelines for use
- Support the drafting, review, and organization of contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence
- Maintain and organize legal files, records, and document management systems
- Assist with the preparation of summaries, memos, and internal legal guidance materials
- Support corporate governance activities, including resolutions and filings
What you will bring
- Preference given to Law student enrolled in a recognized JD or LLB program and eligible to work as a summer intern
- Completion of at least one year of legal studies
- Strong interest in corporate and commercial law
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with legal research tools or document management systems is an asset
