Job Description
Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for an IT Applications Developer in the organization. As an IT ERP Applications Developer, , you will assist in the development and maintenance of our enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, contributing to the optimization of our business processes and enhancing overall efficiency. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a stamping environment, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:
- Application Dev/Maintenance: Basic understanding of ERP concepts and business processes.Must have a strong understanding of web application development, object-oriented programming, database design and development, and an aptitude for learning new technologies and methodologies.
- Strengthen our capabilities as you design, develop, install, test and document applications software – including server, client and web components
- System Administration/ Software Maintenance: Perform daily system checks, monitor system performance, and proactively address potential issues. Manage user accounts, security profiles, and system resources. Perform system upgrades as needed. Stay current with IBMi best practices and new technologies
- High Availability/Disaster Recovery: Maintain and monitor our Mimix replication environment, ensuring data synchronization and failover capabilities. Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Security Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive security plan for all IBMi users, including access controls, password policies, and security audits. Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations.
Minimum Qualification:

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about software development and who has a strong sense of ownership and responsibility for their work, with Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C#, or Python and also proficient in Web-Dev and Application debugging

In-depth knowledge of database management systems, including SQL Server, MySQL

We are looking for a creative problem solver with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Preferred Qualification:
- 3+ years of software design and development experience
- 3+ experience in Operations / Support of IBM Power, IBMi systems
