Finance Manager (CPA Required) Location: Fully Remote (US) Job Type: Full-Time

We’re looking for a Finance Manager who can take ownership of our accounting and financial processes, improve reporting speed and accuracy, and support operational decision-making as we scale. About Uproot Clean Uproot Clean is a fast-growing, performance-driven consumer brand built for pet owners. We operate across ecommerce and retail, and our finance function plays a critical role in enabling smart, data-driven growth. We believe finance should be proactive, structured, and tightly connected to operations. That’s where you come in. The Role This is an ownership role. You will manage the full accounting cycle, oversee financial reporting, and ensure accuracy across all financial operations. You will work closely with the VP of Operations and play a key role in improving processes, shortening close cycles, and building a scalable finance function. This is not a purely back-office role, you’ll be expected to think analytically, identify inefficiencies, and actively improve how we operate. This Role Is For You If: You think in systems and processes, not just tasks You are detail-oriented and highly organized You are comfortable owning the full accounting cycle You enjoy improving workflows and increasing efficiency You can balance accuracy with speed in a fast-paced environment This Role Is NOT For You If: You prefer narrowly defined tasks without ownership You struggle with deadlines or process improvement You are not comfortable working in a high-growth environment What You'll Do Accounting & Financial Operations Own the full accounting cycle, including month-end close Prepare financial statements and reports Ensure accuracy and compliance across financial records Month-End Close & Process Improvement Reduce month-end close timeline from 5 days to 3 days Identify inefficiencies and improve accounting workflows Build scalable processes and documentation Team Oversight Manage and oversee the bookkeeping team and AP clerk Ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness of work Cost & Inventory Accounting Manage and apply landed costs across products Ensure accurate cost tracking and margin visibility Reporting & Analysis Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making Work closely with the VP of Operations on performance tracking Requirements Must have: 1+ year of experience in ecommerce or DTC Experience managing full accounting cycle and financial reporting Strong understanding of accounting principles Strong analytical and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and organization Work Requirements ⏰ Schedule: Flexible 💻 Workspace: Fixed, professional setup required (stable internet + backup plan)

Any pet owner knows how annoying and difficult it is to remove pet hair and lint from your clothing, furniture, carpeting and pretty much everything else.
A recent report by the American Pet Products Association found that a staggering 70% of American households own at least one pet, this means that the pet hair issue affects hundreds of millions of Americans. In fact, multiple studies and surveys have identified that the mess from excess pet hair ranked as the NUMBER ONE pain-point and challenge that pet owners encounter.
For such a large problem, we noticed that the tools on the market that were sup- posed to help with the pet hair issue, like a standard lint roller, were simply ineffective and also incredibly wasteful. We knew there had to be a better way.
This is exactly why we founded Uproot Clean.
The massive pet hair problem deserves effective tools, and we set out to develop an assortment of very well made and highly effective tools to remove pet hair from upholstery, carpeting, rugs, clothes and almost everywhere pet hair shouldn’t be!
Our mission is to help the hundreds of millions of pet owners enjoy their time with their furry friends a little bit more, by taking some of the hassle out of cleaning and caring for them.
Our goal is to become a household name in the pet care and cleaning industry. While we have hundreds of thousands of happy customers already, we are just getting started!
