Requisition ID: 23029  Department: Transit Services Dept. Service: Transit Strat Comm&External Rel Service Employment Type: 1 Full-time Temporary - Up to 1 year Work Hours: 35,00 /hours per weekAffiliation: ATU 1760/Non Shift Salary Information: $62 167,56 - $88 182,64  annually (2023 rates of pay)Location: Transit Service, 1500 St.Laurent  Job Category: Transit Services - OC Transpo Application Close: 30/07/2026JOB SUMMARY The Transportation Services department is responsible for providing a holistic transportation hub focused on addressing the planning, implementation, operations and delivery of all modes of transportation in the City of Ottawa, including safe, reliable and courteous transit services and excellence in customer service delivery to 100 million transit customers per year, by means of conventional bus, para transit and rail operations.    You are responsible for implementing and managing various projects relating to the assigned Branch operations and mandate, including coordinating project functions, maintaining official business records, tracking project progress, facilitating communication among project members, and coordinating training and planning. You also support senior staff in the decision-making process by conducting research, compiling and analyzing research findings, preparing briefings, and writing reports and responses, and assist with the operating and capital budget for the Branch.   In this role, you will support OC Transpo's Non-Fare Revenue programs, including transit advertising and other revenue-generating initiatives that enhance the customer experience and provide value to the City. The position works closely with vendors, business partners, and internal stakeholders to implement and enhance revenue programs, identify new opportunities, monitor financial and operational performance, and support the development of strategies that maximize the value of transit assets. You will also contribute to program reporting, stakeholder engagement, and the continuous improvement of existing and emerging revenue channelsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Completion of 3 year community college diploma or university degree with concentration in studies relating to Business, Law, Financial Analysis, Computer Science or related field. 

Minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible and practical experience in coordinating projects, and providing analysis, recommendations and reports, preferably in a municipal environment. 

KNOWLEDGE

Applicable federal, provincial and municipal legislation related to departmental programs and services
Possess general knowledge of the Corporation, departmental business requirements, policies and organizational structure
Principles and techniques of project management 
Organizational change and development
Planning and performance measurement
Business Process modeling
Policy and procedure documentation practices
Customer service delivery methodologies and skills
Protocols for developing submissions, briefings, major reports
Human resources practices and principles, including Relevant sections of the Collective Agreements for ATU1760, ATU279, CUPE 5500
Research and analysis techniques
Corporate system requirements, accounting and financial procedures and reporting practices, management controls, monitoring processes
Computer systems and applications, and various software programs such as Windows, Office 365, SAP, RMS, MS Project, M5, Markview, BIMS, SharePoint, MS Visio
Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers

Able to prepare reports, presentation materials, correspondence in an organized, clear and concise manner.
