Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• The commissionaire will report and work with the Site Supervisor and Regional Manager. They will
  utilize the post orders to provide superior customer service, security and protection to their client and
  the client’s property/assets.
• Ensuring access control is followed and client property is secured
• Monitoring of CCTV equipment
• Maintaining a positive attitude and professional working relationships with employees, visitors and clients
• Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and deportment
• Responding to alarms and utilization of alarm panels
• Providing assistance to employees, clients and visitors
• Completing daily logs and written reports as necessary
• Making sure the Reception desk is always monitored

WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US:

• Must have secondary school diploma.
• Minimum 1 years of Security Guard experience
• *Mandatory* - Must hold a Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
• *Mandatory*– Valid WSIB accredited First Aid and CPR certificate
• *Mandatory* – Must be able to obtain a Level I Reliability Clearance (resident in Canada 5 years or longer)
• The ability to work alone while maintaining a high level of service to the client is essential
• High attention to detail
• Customer services/reception/administrative skills.
• Strong understanding of computers

• Hourly Rate of Pay: $24.35 per hour
• Hours of work: 0700-1900 Continental shift Rotating to 1900-0700 Continual Shift( every 4 weeks)
• Location: 215 Yonge Blvd, North York
