The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly curious, has a passion for solving business problems, leads with empathy and has a great sense of humor. In this role you will deliver high quality secondary research to derive insightful analysis for senior leaders in support of RBC’s strategic priorities. **What will you do? **

  • Partner with senior leaders across the organization to understand business problems and frame research scopes aligned to strategic objectives
  • Deliver high-quality research deliverables (written and presented) through secondary research (e.g. market data, industry reports, expert interviews, public domain information)
  • Synthesize complex information to meet business partner objectives, and present findings to executive stakeholders
  • Support broader ES&T initiatives by providing advisory research support, guidance, and best practices
  • Challenge the perspectives of our business partners and teammates with impactful research findings that elevate outcomes
  • Contribute to ongoing evolution of R+I vision, services, and operating model by participating in internal practice development
  • Develop knowledge of RBC’s strategy, business processes and technical systems, and progressively deepen organizational awareness

**What do you need to succeed? Must-have: **

  • Collaborative self-starter with the ability to pivot as necessary
  • Masters, or other post-secondary degree, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years’ experience using secondary research to support business strategy decisions
  • Ability to efficiently analyze and translate large amounts of quantitative / qualitative information into actionable and compelling insights for business partners
  • Experience storyboarding & delivering presentations in PowerPoint
  • Superior written & verbal communication, and project & stakeholder management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Adaptability and humility

Nice-to-have:

  • Financial Services experience
  • Experience coaching colleagues on project work

What’s in it for you?

We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.

  • A comprehensive Total Rewards Program including bonuses and flexible benefits, competitive compensation, commissions, and stock where applicable
  • Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities
  • Ability to make a difference and lasting impact
  • Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team
