What we offer:
- Competitive Salary of $47.59 per hour, and afternoon premium.
- Afternoon shift position - 2 :30pm to 11pm .
- Health coverage includes Life insurance, Prescription Drugs, Dental, Short Term Disability, and Long Term Disability coverage.
- Uniforms and Safety Shoes: supplied by the Company.
- Vacation 2 weeks per year from years 1-4, increasing to 3 weeks per year.
- 4 float days per year.
- RSP: Company and employee matching contribution of 4.25% of their pay.
- Tool allowance of 455$/year .
What’s involved in the Milright role:
- Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, VFDs, electrical instrumentation and sensors, lighting fixtures and replace damaged or broken wires and cables.
- Repairs and replaces electric and electronic components such as motors, contactors, relays, switches or sensors, PLC’s, light curtains, motor controls, VFDs, etc.
- Installs, examines, replace or repair electric wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
- Performs preventive and predictive maintenance on production and production supporting equipment as outlined in the individual work instructions.
- Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers and VFD’s on packaging and processing machinery.
- Test for malfunctions, verify repairs and document of all programming changes.
- Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations including the use of personal protective equipment
- Be willing to upgrade skills to deal with new technology, including the use of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Work with operators and other trades as required to achieve satisfactory results
- Support the development of autonomous, preventive, and predictive maintenance programs
Qualifications:
- Candidate must have a current Province of Ontario Industrial Electrician 442A License.
- The successful candidate must have a minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food, beverage, dairy, or pharmaceutical industry would be an asset.
- Experience in troubleshooting with Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLC and FactoryTalk View HMI and SCADA system
- Must have a thorough knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
- Experience with industrial electrical power systems, industrial control systems, PLC’s, motors, VFD’s, and industrial communication systems.
- Able to create simple drawings, ladder diagrams and single circuit diagrams.
Additional Requirements:
- Proficient computer skills (MS Word, Excel, MP2 database system an asset)
- Dairy processing experience an asset.
- Work independently or in team with little to no supervision.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Must also be familiar with WHMIS, GMP’s and good health and safety work practices
- Must have a positive “Can Do Attitude� and customer focus.
