Description of the Position

The Associate, Corporate Partnerships will work with the Corporate Partnerships team and other partners (the Hospital, Foundation and third parties), to manage corporate relationships with new, active and lapsed corporate supporters, across all sectors who give under $20,000 annually.

The Associate, Corporate Partnerships will project manage and execute the workplace giving/employee engagement programs across the Corporate Partnerships team to drive campaigns and loyalty to SickKids with employee groups. The Associate will work in collaboration and report directly to the Associate Director, Corporate Partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

  • Work collaboratively with the Corporate Partnership team to manage a portfolio of 100+ corporate supporters who give under $50,000
  • Proactively identify and pursue new corporate partnership opportunities through strategic prospecting, cold outreach, and relationship-building to expand the donor pipeline and uncover new revenue opportunities.
  • Demonstrate strong relationship management and donor engagement skills by anticipating partner needs, assessing opportunities for growth and upgrade potential, and delivering thoughtful, high-impact stewardship experiences.
  • Identify and cross sell opportunities within other SickKids Foundation offerings for employee fundraising groups to take part in.
  • Manage donor and partner relationships with a focus on responsiveness, efficient account management, timely implementation of feedback, and prioritization of high-value engagement opportunities.
  • Assist with cultivation, stewardship and solicitation of donors across all industry sectors and identify those ready to upgrade experience.
  • Manage Corporate partnerships inbox, respond to inquiries and qualify prospects.
  • Ensure outcome of donor meetings and follow-up actions are recorded in the donor database (known as ‘KYDS’).
  • Keep on top of trends as it relates to employee engagement and giving.
  • Participate on cross-functional projects as requested and support Relationship Managers as needed.
  • Represent and speak on behalf of SickKids at corporate events.

Qualifications

While we know that for any job posting no one candidate will possess the qualifications being sought in equal measure, below is an outline of the qualifications we believe are important for a candidate to bring to the position or for the successful candidate to develop while in the role:

  • University degree or community college diploma with a focus in marketing, fundraising, sales or related field.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in fundraising or equivalent experience.
  • Superior communication skills in addition to well-developed presentation abilities.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft 365.
  • Excellent presentation building skills, specifically partnership pitches and donor-facing presentations tailored to corporate audiences and aligned with organizational fundraising priorities.
  • Ability to think strategically, be creative and work independently in driving new initiatives or enhancing existing programs.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to constantly re-prioritize work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
  • Organized, detail orientated and with exceptional follow-through.
  • Exceptional team player and relationship builder.
  • Experience in Corporate solicitation, selling sponsorships and engaging groups in Peer-to-Peer fundraising will be considered an asset.
  • Understanding of how to best engage with companies through digital communication channels will be considered an asset.
  • Experience with a donor database will be an asset.
  • Experience in working with employee giving platforms (eg. Benevity, OneCause).

Total Compensation Package

Expected Hiring Salary Range: $70,056 – $82,418; with the ability to progress to a maximum of $98,902.00. To ensure fair and equitable pay at SickKids Foundation, placement on the salary range will be based on your years of experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the Associate Corporate Partnerships.

Position Status**:** Permanent Full-Time.

Hours: Hybrid work model: minimum two days per week in-office (Tuesday and Wednesday).
