THE PROJECT
Join industry veterans from Call of Duty, Halo, and Bioshock creating revolutionary! Develop cutting-edge extraction shooter mechanics, player-owned economies, and comprehensive creator tools. Work on groundbreaking Web3 integration while maintaining premium gameplay standards. Shape true digital ownership experiences that empower global gaming communities.
What You'll Own
You'll architect UI systems for a groundbreaking Web3-integrated FPS that maintains AAA gameplay standards while pioneering player-owned economies and creator tools. This is UI engineering at the bleeding edge - where 144+ FPS performance meets complex real-time systems for hardcore competitive players.
- Scalable UI architecture using Unreal Engine 5's UMG system for intense multiplayer combat
- Performance-critical HUD elements with robust server authority and client prediction
- Complex interactive systems: real-time inventory, loadout customization, spectator modes
- UI integration with weapon mechanics, AI state machines, and persistent player data
- Revolutionary interfaces for player-owned economies and creator tools
- Tools and workflows enabling rapid iteration for our demanding FPS audience
Requirements
- 5+ years UI programming in game development
- Expert knowledge of UE5's UMG system and UI architecture patterns
- Strong C++ programming with UI system implementation focus
- Extensive Blueprint visual scripting for UI logic and data binding
- 2+ shipped commercial games with significant UI contribution
- Experience with UI performance optimization and memory management
Bonus Points
- Competitive FPS/shooter game UI development
- Multiplayer UI synchronization and real-time data presentation
- Platform certification requirements (PC, Console)
- UI localization, automation frameworks, and analytics
Please note that though we are a globally distributed team, this is a Hybrid work-model role based out of Montreal, Quebec, Canada and candidates based in the city/province will be given priority
