We are hiring an AI Innovative Builder to drive the implementation of advanced AI tools to help redefine the future of cannabis retail: reimagining workflows, elevating guest experience, optimizing supply chain realities unique to the cannabis sector. By building AI solutions that complement each line of business, we aim to elevate our organization capabilities, ensuring that ever team member can deliver exceptional value to our overall guest experience and achieve strategic initiatives.
What this role is
This is not a traditional job with a set roadmap. It’s a high impact opportunity to architect the future of FIKA Company. You will build AI native systems for a regulated, fast moving, experience driven cannabis retail and technology environment, where accuracy, compliance, hospitality, and speed matter.
You’ll work directly with the CEO, with support from Retail Operations and Optimization, Merchandising, Technology, Supply Chain, Digital, Marketing, Winning Talent & Culture, Finance and Compliance.

What you’ll do
- Reimagine guest facing workflows using AI to improve education, clarity, and personalization while staying compliant with Canadian cannabis regulations.
- Analyze and redesign outdated business process into AI- native workflows.
- Rapidly prototyping ideas, validating assumptions, and iterating based on operational feedback.
- Prototype and ship AI powered tools that support budtenders with real time product knowledge, compliant recommendations, and micro learning integrated through internal learning platforms.
- Enhance operational excellence across inventory, replenishment, product flow, tasking, and store consistency.
- Design internal AI systems that improve communication, SOP access, knowledge sharing, and organizational alignment.
- Support community engagement by using AI to strengthen how we listen, respond, and interact with both employees and guests.
- Collaborate across various departments, and compliance to ensure every AI workflow meets cannabis retail requirements around accuracy, privacy, safety, and responsible use.
- Help in making informed decisions about where AI should assume responsibility and where human oversight is essential.

Whether you’re early in your career or have extensive experience, what matters is your ability to move quickly, think critically, and take ownership. This is a technical, yet broad innovative role suited for builders who think in systems, navigate diverse disciplines seamlessly, and can translate ambiguity into actionable results.
