About the role Hunter Scouts is seeking an experienced SAP HCM Functional Analyst (Personnel Administration & Organizational Management) to support a large enterprise client in Ontario (client confidential). In this hands-on contract role you will configure, maintain and optimize PA and OM modules, design HR data models and workflows, manage change and release processes, and support integrations and testing to keep HR operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain SAP HCM PA and OM modules in line with business needs
- Translate complex HR business requirements into simplified, standardized SAP HCM functional specifications and configurations
- Design and support HR data models, organizational structures and workflows within SAP HCM
- Manage change/configuration and release processes, including transports across environments
- Execute and support testing (unit/integration/UAT), produce documentation, and provide user support for PA/OM changes
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across PA/OM and related integrations, perform root-cause analysis
- Collaborate with HR and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and drive continuous improvement
Requirements
- Must currently be based in Ontario, Canada and able to commute to an office as required
- Minimum 3 years hands-on configuration experience in SAP HCM Personnel Administration (PA) and Organizational Management (OM)
- Right to work in Canada (no employer sponsorship required)
- Experience designing and maintaining HR data models, organizational structures, workflows and integration points in SAP HCM
- Experience with system change/configuration management and release processes (e.g., transports between environments), and executing/ documenting configuration changes to support testing and production deployments
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAP Solution Manager / ChaRM or similar change management tools
- Experience with SAP HCM integrations (IDocs, BAPIs, PI/PO)
- Exposure to SAP Time Management or Payroll
- Experience in large enterprise or public sector SAP environments
- Ability to perform basic ABAP debugging to support functional analysis
