Reports to: Finished Goods Leader
Responsibilities
- Assist in all areas of shipping and warehouse operations, completing the shipments, and ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
- Review the availability of products in inventory and discuss any shortages with the distribution team.
- Participate in cycle count and inventory accuracy programs and leads finished goods cycle counts for customers.
- Support the Shipping Team Leader in their absence.
- Accurately completes essential documentation related to shipping, BOL, customs and CFIA documents.
- Liaise with carriers to minimize wait times and to prevent congestion at the shipping dock.
- Receive and investigate complaints about shortages and ensure appropriate action is taken.
- Observe all Safety rules and promote a safe working environment with team members.
- Compliance with all rules & policies regarding health safety, occupational safety, environmental safety, food safety, legal regulations, company requirements, etc.
- Compliance with the Company's Integrated Management Systems which include, but is not limited to Production, Quality, Food Safety & GMP.
- Other duties as assigned.
Profile
- University degree or College diploma in logistics, supply chain, or related field is required.
- Experience working with logistics or supply chain in a food and beverage manufacturing environment is an asset.
- 2+ years’ experience in shipping & receiving is an asset.
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Suite of Applications, WMS), and instructional software.
- Skill in organization, time management, prioritization, and the ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasks.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills to encourage and mentor staff
- Excellent attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- NB: Successful candidates will be required to provide photo ID, banking details, a valid SIN number, and (if applicable) a valid work permit.
