About the role
Position Overview
This position reports directly to the Manager/Supervisor, Bio-Medical Engineering
The Central Equipment Management Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the daily activities within the biomedical engineering team which provides integrated medical equipment storage, assembly, maintenance, deployment and delivery system to assist MGH staff in providing quality patient care. This position ensures the smooth transition of equipment, supporting patient needs while keeping inventory at a cost-effective level.
Secondary roles include maintaining and supporting the RTLS tracking system and the Biomed CMMS.
Eductaion
- Must have completed Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Technology Management, or a related field.
Experience

A combination of education and experience working in a hospital healthcare environment

Strong Microsoft Office skills, advanced Excel, Word, Outlook , required; Project, Visio and AutoCAD preferred

Fundamental understanding of strategic and project planning processes; contract administration and vendor procurement;

Coordination/administration experience, supporting technical/business environments;
-
General knowledge of Healthcare guidelines; legislation and regulation covering Ontario Hospital's Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act Worker's Compensation Act, WHMIS, CSA guidelines, and other related acts/laws as required;

Demonstrated ability to lead, plan, organize, communicate, implement, monitor and problem solve;

Well-developed negotiation and conflict management/resolution skills;

Strong analytical and organizational skills coordinating work activities;

Energetic self-starter with strong work ethic;

Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to handle several projectsat the same time;

Highly developed oral and written skills
