Forklift Operators play an important role in our yard operations, ensuring that materials are transferred in a safe and efficient manner. This role is for someone who takes pride in their work, the equipment they operate and are able to work well with customers and team members. Experience with forklifts required.
Amix is looking for a skilled and experienced individual to fulfill an exciting, fast paced position as the Forklift Operator. The position will report into the Warehouse Supervisor.
What the role will be doing:
This position will be responsible for:
- Assisting with daily shipping/warehouse and production operations
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Perform pre-trips and basic maintenance on forklift equipment.
- Assist customers with unloading of recycled materials
- Operate a forklift in the movement of bins and equipment.
- Unload/load trailers with scrap metal materials
- Ability to follow all established safety procedures and protocols.
Qualifications and Experience:
Amix is looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:
- 1-3 years of experience driving a forklift with current certification
- Experience with scrap metal and recycling
- Proficiency with driving a forklift safely and with accuracy
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
