Position Description

The Manager, Autism Services will support the clinical and administrative operations of Autism Services through the development and oversight of operational procedures related to OAP funded and paid services to ensure effective and efficient service delivery while meeting Ministry standards as well as, program and corporate strategic priorities. This position reports to the Director, Core Autism Services.

Main Responsibilities:

Coordination of Service Provision for Services Provided by Direct Reports:

  • Monitor processes and standard operating procedures to ensure timely and equitable access to services within Surrey Place.
  • Conduct analysis of data and forecast client needs.
  • Develop service schedules, monitor and problem solve as required to effectively utilize service/staffing capacity.
  • Work collaboratively across and within programs to promote interprofessional services.
  • Develop waitlist and wellness supports for families referred and in services in partnership with clinical team members.

Administration:

  • Implement and monitor operational and administrative quality improvement processes and measures e.g., client database, administrative requirements, etc.
  • Develop and monitor systems to ensure effective resource and contract management.
  • Gather and analyze service data relevant to funder requirements. Participate in funder contract management and reporting processes.
  • Provide leadership and support to key Program and Agency initiatives and strategic directions.

Data and Process Management:

  • Develop and oversee processes and standard operating procedures in relation to paid and funded Autism Services.
  • Program lead for monthly and quarterly Ministry Reporting.
  • Liaising with partner agencies and Manager of Data and Analytics to ensure accurate complications of data.
  • Develop and monitor systems to ensure effective tracking of Childhood Budgets and One-time funding.
  • Work collaboratively with Toronto Autism Services partner agencies to ensure coordination of information and supports for parents.
  • Gather and analyze service data relevant to ministry requirements.

Human Resources/Operations Management:

  • Support the Director to ensure HR and Operations requirements are met.
  • Implement and monitor operational/administrative quality improvement processes and measures e.g., client database, administrative requirements, etc.
  • Hiring, supervision and annual review of frontline staff including management of vacation/LOA requests, sick leave and accommodations.
  • Develop and support team members to develop and enhance clinical and administrative skills as required.
  • Develop and monitor implementation of staff orientation and training procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a health or science related discipline.
  • Minimum of three years’ management and administrative experience in a unionized environment.
  • Previous clinical experience working with individuals with ASD and their families.
  • Experience in developing and establishing new projects or initiatives, and project management
  • Change management experience- leading change and supporting staff through periods of transition
  • Exemplary communications skills, both oral and written
  • Exemplary problem-solving skills
  • A passion for leading, motivating and developing staff
  • Commitment to excellence, and achieving results through others
  • This position may require some evening and Saturday work
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365
  • The successful candidate must provide an acceptable Police Records Check (Vulnerable Sector Screening)
  • Fluency in French is considered an asset
