Job Summary The Director, Technology Delivery will provide leadership to the ISG Dimension team supporting multiple applications, primarily SimCorp Dimension (SCD). The role is accountable to ensure successful execution and delivery of technology projects, operations and support of the applications, aligning with the objectives of the Technology Division and HOOPP.

What You Will Do

  • Plan and coordinate all activities across the team including Business Analysts and System Developers of different levels in partnership with business lines that the team supports and IT division that this team exists within
  • Act as a Technology Owner for the applications supported by team (primarily SimCorp Dimension), responsible for technology vision and implementation of the application, ensuring technical feasibility aligns with the business goals. This includes managing the prioritization of backlogs based on both business values and technical feasibility to ensure achievement of business and technology outcomes
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics to monitor health and performance of the critical applications supported by the team, identify patterns indicating improvement opportunities, implementing those opportunities to enhance our operational performance.
  • Manage relationships with major stakeholders across Investment Finance, Investment Risk & Investment Management to ensure team vision and delivery are aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner with other IT teams to ensure activities and outputs of the team align across critical projects and initiatives
  • Support career growth of the entire team by ensuring the right skillset is developed across the team to fulfil the team’s mandate, promoting HOOPP’s core values (Accountability, Compassion, and Trustworthiness) in how the team delivers on their work
  • Set priorities for the team, providing mentorship and support to help all team members thrive, and leading performance improvement plans in a fair and equitable manner.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years Capital Market experience with deep understanding of SimCorp Dimension modules, infrastructure, data models, and system integrations, covering the platform’s full business and technology scope.
  • Experience collaborating with the vendor and consulting firms through various projects, with expert knowledge of both the current capabilities and future potential of the platform.
  • Strong knowledge of Investment products; front, middle and back-office workflows
  • Proven ability to create and follow a clear vision and strategy for the applications aligned with HOOPP and the vendor
  • Ability to determine the cost and value proposition of features and to negotiate and prioritize the highest value work in partnership with business stakeholders
  • Demonstrated proficiency in leading delivery on major features and complex projects across multiple technology and business teams, guiding teams and business stakeholders on solution design, implementation and operationalization
  • Exceptional communication skills, negotiation and influencing skills with ability to communicate confidently with all levels of the organization
  • Proven track record of building trust with and mentoring/growing team members from a variety of backgrounds, skillsets, and lived experiences.
  • Comprehensive understanding of internal and industry standards and principles on investment solutions designs and product management
  • A strong sense of customer focus with 10+ years of experience implementing customer support strategies in multiple platform/services environments.
  • Exhibit core HOOPP values - Accountability, Compassion and Trustworthiness
  • Experience working within the pension plan or asset management space is an asset
