Job Summary Amorepacific Canada is seeking an experienced Senior Demand Planning Specialist to join the Supply Chain Innovation (SCI) team. This role is responsible for developing, managing, and continuously improving demand forecasts for core products, new launches, and promotional activities to support business objectives and optimize inventory performance.

Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Global Headquarters, the Senior Demand Planning Specialist will analyze demand trends, maintain accurate forecasting models, monitor inventory levels, and identify potential supply risks and opportunities. As the lead for demand planning activities, this position plays a key role in driving forecast accuracy, improving cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring an efficient and responsive supply chain.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain Innovation, the ideal candidate is a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional with strong forecasting, inventory management, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to proactively support business growth through effective demand planning.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Demand Planning & Forecasting Develop and maintain accurate monthly demand plans by product and channel, using historical data, market trends, and business inputs. Analyze quantitative (sales, shipments, sell-through) and qualitative (promotions, launches, competitive activity) demand signals to refine forecasts. Monitor forecast performance, identify variances, and mitigate risks such as stockouts or excess inventory. Track and manage retailer/channel inventory levels; identify risks and opportunities with stakeholders. Maintain item-level forecasts (volume and value) and proactively identify risks and opportunities. Prepare and maintain demand planning reports and insights.

S&OP & Cross-Functional Alignment Support and co-lead the S&OP process, ensuring alignment across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Planning. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate forecasts and ensure alignment with business strategy. Communicate demand plans and updates to Supply Planning and key stakeholders.

Inventory & Lifecycle Management Manage product portfolio and lifecycle, including launches, phase-outs, and SKU rationalization. Monitor new product performance against forecast and adjust plans accordingly. Identify and manage slow-moving and excess inventory; support actions to optimize working capital. Develop and execute strategies for product discontinuation and inventory depletion.

Process Improvement Drive continuous improvement of demand planning processes, tools, and systems. Support implementation of new technologies, automation, and analytical capabilities. Identify areas to improve forecast accuracy and efficiency within the S&OP process. Participate in special projects and process enhancement initiatives.

Key Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field. 3–4 years of experience in demand or supply planning (consumer industry preferred). Experience working with major retailers (e.g., Sephora, Amazon) is an asset. Advanced Excel skills (e.g., Power Query, data modeling, macros) and ERP experience (SAP preferred). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and proactive.
