We currently are seeking an Estimation Coordinator to join our team in Ottawa and share our values and passion. We are looking for motivated, multi-faceted and highly organized individuals who enjoy working on a wide variety of tasks, are quick to learn, and are keen to make a significant contribution to a successful and growing company. This is a wonderful career opportunity that will offer creative challenges to learn and develop new skills and experiences in pre-construction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and proactively maintain Modern Niagara’s Estimating inbox and calendar within Outlook
- Participate in Estimating Team Meetings and Huddles, taking notes of action items when necessary
- Create and attend Estimating Bid Review meetings, Turnover meetings, etc.
- Liaise and maintain up-to-date communication with external stakeholders including suppliers, vendors, sub-trades, clients, etc.
- Manage Estimating documentation folders on Procore, ensure documentation such as drawings, RFIs, etc. are updated regularly
- Collect info and create proposals for new bids, prequalification, and proposals, collaborating with Executive Assistant on content, format and proofing
- Update Modern Niagara’s internal Database and Dashboard for executive management reporting
- Perform additional related duties as required under the direction and guidance of the hiring manager.
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong computer skills with hands-on working knowledge of MS 365, particularly Excel
- Team player, energetic, resourceful, reliable and timely
- Eager to work and learn in a fast-paced industry
- Comfortable working in an office setting
- Experience in the construction industry a strong asset
- Understanding of mechanical building systems (plumbing and HVAC) is an asset
