A career as a Product Owner within the Strategy and Operational Risk Management team – Personal and Business sector means
playing a key role in delivering regulatory initiatives. You’ll have a positive impact on the organization through your leadership,
your ability to align and influence stakeholders, and your sharp sense of priorities and work organization.
Reporting to the Senior Director of the Regulatory Portfolio and Continuous Improvement, you will be responsible for the end-to-end
delivery of regulatory initiatives that affect our Personal and Business client segments.
Your role:
Act as a Product Owner in multidisciplinary teams, championing customer experience and business value.
Build and manage the product backlog of user stories, and prioritize delivery activities based on regulatory deadlines, user needs,IT constraints, and partner dependencies.
Define and communicate the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to project teams and align stakeholders around the product vision and delivery strategy.
Guide project development by articulating a target business vision and sequencing priority activities.
Gain a deep understanding of regulatory changes and assess their impact on Retail and Commercial business lines, while
maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the regulatory environment (FCAC, OSFI, FINTRAC, etc.).
Be proactive in identifying and resolving issues and provide regular updates and strategic recommendations.
Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships across all relevant stakeholders in the Personal and Commercial sectors, promoting a culture of accountability and shared ownership.
Stay informed about existing products and the consumer ecosystem.

Prerequisites:
- 7 to 10 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong experience navigating the organizational complexities of a large financial institution.
- Solid understanding of banking products, services, systems, and technologies.
- Good knowledge of the regulatory requirements applicable to Individuals and Businesses.
- Proven experience in project delivery, business analysis, and process optimization.
- Influential leadership, initiative, and ability to thrive under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize effectively to maximize business value.
- Proficiency with Agile project management tools: Jira, Confluence, SharePoint.
