The expected salary range for this position is between 110 - 120K annually. The actual compensation will be based on the candidates experience.
Job Description:
EHS Leadership
- Coach, mentor, and guide EHS advisors to deliver quality EHS management system expectations to support operationalization of EHS activities.
- Ensure engagement opportunities and support is provided between Operational Leaders and EHS advisors to ensure we work shoulder to shoulder in concept, design, and implementation of the EHS management system to ensure we declutter and simplify
- Work with EHS advisors to provide the skills and competency to continually improve, adapt, and cater EHS management system delivery based on engagement with key stakeholders, performance data and expectations from the EHS department.
Business Partnership / Customer Service
- Develop a deep knowledge of Finning’s business to support the EHS advisors and the operations through the enablement of EHS management system requirements and operational controls.
- Coach, mentor, and guide EHS advisors on how to operationalize EHS management system programs and elements within their regions.
- Champion a high EHS culture to build the climate for success.
Mining EHS Leadership
- Review analytics and work in partnership with the EHS Central Programs Manager to respond to control gaps and weaknesses in mining operations.
- Develop a support framework for mining operations based on specific needs for the industry.
- Regularly visit mining branches across the BC region to engage, educate and learn from all levels in the organization to deliver specific support for those workgroups.
- Utilize engagement with branches to provide recommendations on improvement opportunities to the EHS Management System and delivery.
Education & Experience:
- CSO and/or other safety designations.
- 5-10 years of health and safety experience
- 3-5 years of Leadership experience.
- Combination of both education and experience would be considered.
