About the role

Company Description

Assent is the leading solution for supply chain sustainability tailored for the world’s top-tier, sustainability-driven manufacturers. Hidden risks riddle supply chains, many of which weren't built with sustainability in mind. That's where we step in. With insights from experts, Assent is the tool manufacturers trust for comprehensive sustainability.

We are proud to announce that Assent has crossed the US$100M ARR milestone, granting us Centaur Status. This accomplishment, reached just 8 years following our Series A, makes us the first and only Certified B Corporation in North America's SaaS sustainability industry to celebrate this milestone.

Our journey from $5 million to US$100M ARR in just eight years has been marked by significant growth and achievements. With our $350 million US funding led by Vista Equity Partners, we're poised for even greater expansion and are on the lookout for outstanding team members to join our mission.

Hybrid Work Model

At Assent, we proudly embrace a remote-first work model, valuing the flexibility and autonomy it provides our team. We also acknowledge the intangible benefits of occasional in-person workdays. For team members situated within 50 kms/31 miles of our five global offices in Ottawa, Eldoret, Penang, Columbus, Pune and Amsterdam, you can expect to come into the office 1-3 days a week. Similarly, those near our co-working spaces in Nairobi and Toronto are encouraged to work onsite once a month.

Please note that for this role, priority will be given to candidates based in Ottawa who can work from our headquarters at least one day a week, in office.

Job Description

As Assent continues to scale globally, we are evolving how our talent function operates—bringing together strategic partnership, global programs, and operational excellence into a more connected model.

We are seeking a Talent Advisor to act as a critical connector across our Talent Programs and Operations teams. This role is designed to bridge strategy and execution—translating business and people priorities into structured, scalable programs and ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery across regions.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a growing business, enjoys building structure, and is motivated by creating clarity, consistency, and impact at scale.

What You’ll Do

Global People Programs & Planning

  • Own and maintain the annual HR calendar, ensuring visibility, alignment, and proactive planning across all regions and teams
  • Lead the coordination and execution of core talent programs (e.g., performance cycles, talent reviews, engagement initiatives)
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure programs are well-structured, clearly communicated, and effectively delivered

Enable HRBP Effectiveness

  • Collaborate to translate business priorities into structured programs, timelines, and actionable plans
  • Develop and maintain toolkits, frameworks, and resources that HRBPs can deploy within their business units
  • Coordinate and consolidate global HRBP inputs, ensuring alignment and reducing duplication of effort
  • Drive consistency in program execution while allowing for regional nuance

Strengthen Operational Excellence

  • Partner closely with HR Operations and Coordinators to plan and forecast workload, improving predictability and scalability
  • Convert programs into clear workflows and operational processes
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization, working in collaboration with talent systems
  • Support continuous improvement of how HR programs are operationalized and delivered globally

Build Connectivity Across the People Function

  • Act as a central point of coordination across HRBPs, Employee Experience, and Operations

  • Help create stronger alignment between program design, systems, and execution

  • Support global initiatives that require cross-regional collaboration and consistency

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in HR, People Operations or People Programs within a global or scaling organization

  • Strong ability to translate strategy into execution—you bring structure to ambiguity

  • Experience managing or coordinating global programs or cyclical HR processes (e.g., performance, talent, compensation)

  • Highly organized with exceptional planning, prioritization, and stakeholder coordination skills

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority

  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on scalability and consistency
