About the role

Reporting to the Manager, Packaging Development and Optimization, the Packaging Analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate packaging documentation and data, supporting packaging development and sustainability initiatives, and ensuring timely, high-quality information flow across internal teams, suppliers, and third-party logistics partners

Responsibilities

  • Update and maintain co-pack documentation following approvals
  • Communicate approved packaging changes to internal teams and third-party logistics partners
  • Maintain pallet patterns, case configurations, and packaging specifications within the Bill of Materials
  • Validate and enter packaging data into the enterprise resource planning system to support stewardship reporting
  • Assist with semi-annual non-financial reporting and packaging audits in partnership with the Packaging and Sustainability Manager
  • Enter, track, and maintain artwork and specification records in Esko WebCenter
  • Collect technical inputs from suppliers to ensure complete and accurate data sets
  • Document packaging operating procedures and process flows to support training and consistency
  • Support packaging development projects and productivity initiatives from brief to implementation
  • Monitor timelines, flag risks, and coordinate with cross-functional partners to meet launch dates
  • Analyze packaging data to identify discrepancies and opportunities for standardization
  • Prepare clear status updates and presentation materials for stakeholders
  • Support research and validation of more sustainable packaging materials and formats
  • Coordinate trial readiness, data setup, and post-launch updates for new product introductions

Qualifications

  • University or college degree in Packaging, Engineering, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • One to two years of experience in packaging or data-focused roles within a consumer goods environment
  • Knowledge of packaging materials, formats, and converting processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet, Word, and presentation tools
  • Experience with palletization software considered an asset
  • Experience with Esko WebCenter or other artwork and specification platforms considered an asset
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning systems considered an asset
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage large data sets and maintain version control
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Clear and professional communication skills with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics partners
