About the role
South Trail Hyundai is looking for a full-time parts driver/shipper and receiver. The job will primarily consist of parts delivery, shipping and receiving, and will involve working the retail and wholesale counter. Once all parts have been received, the next duty is to deliver parts for South Trail Hyundai & South Trail Kia.
Your efficiency and timeliness of delivery, effective communication, safe driving skills, and excellent organization will allow you to excel in this role. The ideal candidate will also possess some parts knowledge.
This position is required to work outside in various weather conditions and temperatures and may involve repeated physical movement and exertion.
Main responsibilities include:
- Receive parts shipments as they arrive. Pick and organize orders, deliver parts to local shops and to keep the receiving area clean and organized
- Providing accurate quotes and selling parts to customers
- Assisting technicians at the counter
- Being able to answer the phone and send emails in a professional manner to customers and shops
- Tracking lost sales and helping ensure inventory levels
Assets include:
- Some parts knowledge preferred
- Basic computer skills, ability to type, use Microsoft word, email programs etc.
- Multitasking ability, to perform more than one task at a time
- Knowledge of the city and surrounding area. Will spend considerable time on the road
- Safe driver, always follow the rules of the road
- Organizational skills
- High attention to detail a major bonus
- Self-motivated, will often be working alone
Requirements:
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Provide a clean drivers abstract report and immediately notify management of any change in its status
- High school diploma preferred
- Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Must wear CSA approved steel toed shoes
- Automotive experience preferred
- Forklift experience an asset
Pay and hours of work:
- $17.00 an hour
- Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm, or later if needed
