Job Description Junior Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Manager Location: Essex Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
About the Role We are currently recruiting for a Junior Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Manager to join a busy and established team working within the social housing sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated QS professional looking to develop their career in a fast-paced, structured environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing costs, supporting contract delivery, and working closely with operational teams to ensure works are delivered efficiently and to budget.
Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed quotations using Schedule of Rates (SOR) codes
Organise and manage planned works through the Job Watch platform
Monitor and check engineers' completed works for accuracy and compliance
Work closely with planners and reactive managers to support smooth contract delivery
Assist with cost control, reporting, and contract administration
Maintain accurate records and produce reports using Excel
Requirements Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying or Contracts Management role
Social Housing Experience Is Essential Strong working knowledge of SOR codes
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Good communication and organisational skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Full UK driving licence
