About the role

Robust category management is critical to supply chain’s success.

In this role, you will:

  • Responsible for building category strategy for construction and complex services to ensure operational efficiencies.
  • Establish a strong network and foster collaboration with customers, suppliers, key stakeholders and team members.
  • Responsible for the identification, development, execution, and management of strategic sourcing opportunities for construction and complex services.
  • Conduct regular strategy performance reviews, both with internal stakeholders and external vendors, and adjust sourcing strategies to mitigate market risks and leverage market opportunities.
  • Monitor vendor service levels by developing and utilizing KPIs and scorecards to provide fact-based feedback on vendor performance.
  • Manage performance driven relationships and utilizing continuous improvement methodologies, you will identify, develop, and implement improvements to align with business needs and market changes.
  • Lead the development and negotiation of contracts in alignment with the category strategy and collaborate with internal stakeholders to move forward on objectives.
  • Engage cross-functional teams and establish and maintain relationships to secure participation and support of ongoing activities.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce/business, supply chain management, or engineering
  • Minimum seven years of progressive experience in supply chain management, vendor management and/or procurement
  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
  • Superior negotiation, problem solving and analytical skills, with proficient ability to prioritize workload
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills maintaining a variety of communication channels to support stakeholders
  • High level of computer proficiency, specifically with MS Office (especially MS Excel) and ERP/MRP software

Recommended:

  • SCMP or CPSM designation
  • PMP certification
  • Formal training in Lean Six Sigma
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to connect and work with all levels in the organization
  • Excellent organizational and change-management skills
