Description: The Pharmacist I is responsible for the provision of safe, effective, and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services. The Pharmacist I manages medication therapy by assessing patients for potential and actual drug related problems and intervening as required to optimize patient outcomes. This position is non-unionized.
Classification: Pharmacist I PM Union: COV PARAMEDICAL PROF/TECH Unit and Program: Pharmacy, Bonnyville Primary Location: Bonnyville Health Centre Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.40 Posting End Date: 13-JUL-2026 Temporary Employee Class: Temp P/T Benefits Date Available: 23-JUL-2026 Temporary End Date: 31-MAR-2027 Hours per Shift: 7.75 Length of Shift in weeks: 2 Shifts per cycle: 4 Shift Pattern: Days Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $59.76 Maximum Salary: $68.71 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable
Required Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Pharmacy program or recognized equivalent required. Active license with the Alberta College of Pharmacists (ACP) required. Successful applicants will be required to attain additional prescribing authorization within 18 months of date of hire as a condition of employment.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with chemotherapy provision. Previous experience with Connect Care/Epic would be an asset. Preference for hospital pharmacy experience.
