Grow your career with Remco! A leader in the warehousing & distribution industry as a Truck Technician/Apprentice for our garage team in Brampton.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in performing repairs and routine maintenance on trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tire servicing.
• Support licensed mechanics with complex diagnostic and repair work.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment appropriately and safely.
• Review and understand work orders; document work performed and parts used.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Ensure tools and equipment are stored and maintained in good working condition.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report any safety concerns or equipment issues to the supervisor promptly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum 1–2 years of apprentice experience in truck, trailer, or heavy-duty equipment maintenance.

• Currently enrolled in a registered apprenticeship program.

• Working knowledge of basic truck systems including brakes, tires, suspension, and electrical components.

• Ability to use standard tools and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.

• Basic understanding of maintenance schedules and mechanical procedures.

• Ability to read and interpret service manuals and work orders.

• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

• Ability to work in adverse conditions such as weather extremes, around fumes, noise, dust, and dirt.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Willingness to pursue further training and skill development as required.
