About the role
Alpine Macro is seeking a Research Analyst to join our growing team in Montreal. The Analyst will assist in the research, development, and production of Alpine Macro's global investment research. Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct in-depth economic and investment research and analysis.
- Collaborate with the research team on idea generation.
- Provide creative and strategic input into publication content.
- Keep abreast of market and industry news.
- Analyze and manage financial data.
- Research and produce charts.
- Work closely with layout & design team in publishing process.
- Assist in proofreading publication prior to release.
- Monitor key developments in assigned markets.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of chart databases.
- Assist with special projects and other initiatives, as required. Qualifications and Skills
- Preferably 3-5 years relevant experience in the financial services industry.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Economics, Finance. CFA is an asset.
- Superior quantitative and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, organized, and strong team player.
- Proficiency in financial applications for data analysis (e.g., Bloomberg, DataStream, eViews, Macrobond).
