Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse
Location: North Vancouver, BC
Contract Length: Minimum 6 Weeks
Shifts Available:
Day Shift: 8–10 hours Evening Shift: 8 hours Night Shift: 8 hours
We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse to join a high-performing perioperative team in Vancouver, BC. This contract opportunity is ideal for an OR nurse who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and brings strong experience across multiple surgical specialties.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care throughout surgical procedures Prepare and maintain operating rooms, instruments, and surgical equipment Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient patient care Maintain sterile technique and uphold infection prevention standards Monitor patient status and advocate for patient safety throughout the perioperative process Support surgical workflow and contribute to positive patient outcomes across a variety of cases
Qualifications
Active BCCNM RN License Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience Operating Room Certification required BLS Certification Demonstrated experience supporting multiple surgical specialties, including: Neuro Surgery Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/GYN) General Surgery Urology Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic acute care environment
