About the role

Overview The Supply Planner contributes to the success of the PepsiCo Beverages Canada by managing inventory, order processes, and product transitions across our distribution network. This role ensures timely product availability by coordinating with demand planning, production, and logistics teams. It also oversees raw material ordering and provides key supply chain communications and insights to senior leadership within PBC.

Responsibilities

  • Role is responsible for all aspects of Order Management, Order Entry Process/System, SKU-DC Transitions of DSD products.
  • Monitors and proactively manages inventory position on all Co-Pack SKUs at each PBC Plant/Warehouse and movement of inventory between sites.
  • Ensures replenishment timing and quantity on order are appropriate to support Plant/Warehouse network.
  • Coordinates with Demand and Production Planning on supply related issues.
  • Manage the raw materials ordering and collaborate with Logistics to ensure proper execution of freight moves.
  • Plan production and manage deployment from US producing sites to Canadian warehouse locations.
  • Use Avail Order Module and SAP to create loads that will deliver into PBC DSD locations direct from plants or from the Mixing Centers
  • Manage orders created to delivery to PBC locations.
  • Maintain long term planning schedule inputs in AP through IPUM data maintenance.
  • Develop and foster relationships with key stakeholders (i.e. Co-Manufacturers, Production, Transport and Warehouse Teams, Raw material suppliers, etc.)
  • Ensures sufficient product is ordered/delivered to accommodate innovation launch requirements.
  • Review prior days OOS daily for each network supported.
  • Performs analysis to determine root cause of OOS
  • Use various reports in conjunction with Avail to monitor and proactively move inventory between sites
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of data related to production planning and order placement in Avail, IPUM, AP, SAP, and APS
  • Ensures data is updated timely to facilitate data flow to the planning tools
  • Analyzes and troubleshoots supply chain processes.
  • Helps to resolve supply-related delays, obstacles, conflicts, and product supply issues on Co-Pack SKUs
  • Monitors and scorecards project milestones
  • Communicate on a weekly basis to network issues/concerns/orders
  • Work with DCs and Production Planning Team to mitigate OOS risk
  • Creates and maintains innovation project timelines, supports NPD launches & phase in/phase out changes by ensuring supply planning systems are set up in advance

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of supply chain planning experience
  • Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Supply Chain, Engineering or Business, but other areas welcomed as long as business knowledge can be demonstrated.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail, able to interrogate data and produce detailed outputs
  • Understanding the links between production plans, plant AOP’s, productivity initiatives and customer service
  • Should possess strong communication / facilitation skills to build and sustain a wide range of working relationships across multiple functions/sites, being flexible in their approach to achieve the collective aims
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of ERP system, preferably SAP, is strongly desired
  • High proficiency with MS Office products particularly MS Excel (pivot tables & macros) and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills
  • Tactical and strategic thinking
