STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Are you ready to take the next step in your accounting journey? Whether you’re just starting out or building on early experience, this opportunity is designed to give you hands-on exposure to a wide variety of accounting and client service responsibilities. You’ll work closely with supportive professionals, develop your technical skills, and gain experience in everything from bookkeeping to financial reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recording and reconciling financial transactions for clients
- Assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Helping prepare financial statements and supporting documentation
- Preparing tax returns (personal and corporate) and related filings
- Handling payroll, reconciliations, and government remittances
- Answering client questions and providing day-to-day accounting support
- Training clients on cloud-based accounting systems
- Pitching in on additional projects to support client needs
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (new graduates welcome!)
- Interest in pursuing a CPA designation (an asset but not required)
- Strong technical skills in Excel and QuickBooks Online (experience with CaseWare, Jazzit, or TaxPrep is a plus)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines
- Great communication skills and a willingness to learn
- A collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
