Travel: Up to 75% with home location being Wurtec's Pickering Branch

Reports to: Canadian General Manager

Supervises: None

Position Summary:

The Outside Sales Representative Specialist will provide leadership and strategic direction for driving operational and sales goals for either specific or all product lines. It will require implementation of a sales plan and build upon existing sales opportunities and efforts. Position will work with Global Sales to set goals, budgets, and processes for smooth operation of assigned territory.

Essential Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Promotes and demonstrates Wurtec’s core values (dedicated, hardworking, ambitious, willing to accept responsibility, and integrity).
  • Ability to effectively communicate in both English and French
  • Develop proactive plans and leverage strategies to develop the business, grow sales dollar volume, and achieve regional sales goals.
  • Leverage sales resources to increase and optimize market share and revenue.
  • Monitor customer, market, and competition activity through market research and bring new ideas for products, services, and business concepts to senior leadership.
  • Lead ongoing, analytical, and operational tasks, including job completions.
  • Maintain and communicate regular measurements to ensure progress to revenue and service targets.
  • Be informed of code adoptions and identify new states for sales opportunities.
  • Assist in annual budget planning and regularly monitors territory expenditures.
  • Cultivate customer relationships, increase annual customer count through excellent customer service.
  • Increase customer awareness and distribute products via marketing ideas and sales effort.
  • Uphold customer relationships by conducting calls and traveling the sales territory for face-to-face meetings and maintaining records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts.
  • Prepare quotes based on customer visits and process orders by customer requests.
  • Work with the applicable departments to build the Wurtec brand, train on products, and to suggest product improvements.

Technical Skills:

  • Bilingual (English/French)
  • Strong computer skills, data entry, and Microsoft Office.
  • Aptitude to learn company software.

  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a proven track record.
  • Elevator experience is a plus.
  • Experience with negotiating and managing contractual arrangements.

Work Environment:

This role primarily operates in an office environment and is sedentary in nature. This role does requires lifting more than 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying small tools. It may require a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties, near visual acuity, and the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech. This position is a hybrid position, requires travel, and the ability to operate a vehicle. Must be fluent in English and French.
