Responsibilities

Develop account strategies for strategic account partners to achieve maximum sales volume aligned with sales projections.

Solicit and maintain favorable relationships with potential and current key accounts.
-
Ensure multi-channel coverage for all accounts.
-
Increase emphasis on digital selling strategies.
-
Develop Account Sales Plan and Playbook for accounts and disseminate to the MSA field sales team.
-
Suggest program ideas to uncover opportunities.
-
Monitor programs and initiatives for effectiveness and sales growth.
-
Monitor program costs and manage within the overall MDF budget.
-
Facilitate the creation and placement of flyers, newsletters, specialized catalogs, and electronic media and analyze their effectiveness.
-
Establish catalog content and negotiate MSA SKU's represented in Strategic Account catalogs.

Facilitate the development of customized price lists for Strategic Accounts

Provide monthly reports and details on the account activity for all assigned strategic distribution accounts.

Analyze sales statistics, forecasts and reported sales received from accounts.

Develop and communicate to the organization the overall sales strategy for driving sales gains through our Canadian Strategic Accounts and National Alliances

Develop and deliver effective communications on the overall ongoing initiatives related to National Alliances and Strategic Account strategy.

Report trends and competitive activity in the marketplace that could potentially affect MSA’s market share by gathering information on trends and competitive activity from:

MSA account managers, channel partners and key end users
-
Relationships with other manufacturers
-
Distribution market trends research
-
Provide a high level of customer satisfaction and build customer loyalty within strategic accounts for repeat business and revenue growth.
-
Willingness to travel 40-50% overnight.
Qualifications Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:
- Excellent communication (including written and verbal technical and non-technical), interpersonal and management skills.
- Demonstrated success with strategy development, applying strong understanding of go-to-market selling strategy through distribution.
- Significant experience managing relationships and driving sales growth and profitability within large national distributors.
- Knowledge and proven ability to develop digital marketing and selling strategies including familiarity with use of digital technology/electronic devices for research, demonstrations and to present product solutions.
- Solid computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proven ability to work independently and manage one’s own time.
- Proven ability to organize and present product and demonstrations to large groups.
- Proven planning and organizational skills, and experience managing customer interactions within a CRM database.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, analytical skills and strong negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated capabilities of exceeding sales and profitability goals, with general understanding of business financials.
Required Experience and Education:

Bachelor’s degree in related field or educational academic equivalent

Four years relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.

This position is available at two different career levels based upon experience, education, etc.:

Level one: 8 years sales experience with regional and/or national distribution partners
-
Level two: 10 years sales experience with regional and/or national distribution partners
