Job Title: Engineer, Intermediate
Job Summary:
As a n Engineer , Intermediate at Linamar, you will assist in planning and designing complex manufacturing processes within an industrial plant. You will support the improvement of production methods, determine manufacturing capacity , and set production schedules, while collaborating closely with senior engineers and other technical staff.
Responsibility :

Collaborate with manufacturing support staff to resolve tooling-related issues and investigate new manufacturing and tooling methods.
-
Assist in defining plant layout and ergonomic requirements and participate in Advance Quality Planning (AQP) activities.
-
Identify and resolve process scrap issues and support the implementation of changes in manufacturing processes.
-
Assist in introducing new products and processes, working closely with cross-functional teams.
-
Maintain and update tool lists, setup instructions, and work instructions.
-
Support corrective action processes, FMEA development, and CAT activities to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
Academic/Educational Responsibility :
-
A bachelor’s degree or technology diploma in engineering or equivalent work experience.
-
Licensing by a provincial or territorial association of professional engineers is required to approve engineering drawings and reports and to practice as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).
-
Knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel, Word, Easytalk , and MasterCam ; understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensioning. Familiarity with statistical analysis and CAD/CAM software.

Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
