Position Details

The Student Enrolment and Registrar Services (SEARS) Office is seeking six (6) highly motivated, energetic and passionate current University of Lethbridge students to work part-time (up to 10 hours per week) as Recruitment & Student Experience Mentors (Work to Learn). The position(s) commences: September 15, 2025 to April 30, 2026 (working hours are not expected during University breaks). Under the joint direction of the SEARS Operations Coordinator (for Student for a Day – SFAD) and the Recruitment Manager (for recruitment duties), you will have a profile and hosting schedule available and viewable on our Future Student Website that will enable prospective students to see with whom and the days/times available they can attend the SFAD experience (which is open in October/November, February/March each year). You will be paid both for your hosting time and also for the recruitment job duties assigned.

We are looking to hire from each of the faculties/areas of:

  • Fine Arts

  • Arts

  • Sciences

  • Dhillon School of Business

  • Education

  • Health Sciences

DUTIES

  • Front facing representation of faculty/area for future students both on the website and within departments. Foster relationships with areas by being involved in future student departmental and campus events.
  • Forwarded student for a day requests and input information (appointments) into the our software and provide direct correspondence which is overseen and guided by SEARS Operations Coordinator.
  • Data entry for inquiry cards into our software.
  • Communicating with prospects regarding student experiences.
  • Host visiting students who sign up for the SFAD experience; this entails having them attend some classes with you as scheduled (max a few times a week) as agreed to and outlined on your website profile/schedule. Take prospects to lunch (costs covered by SEARS).
  • Provide campus tours for both future students, families and schools.
  • Participate in parent information sessions as scheduled by Recruitment Team to provide current student perspectives and experiences. Possibly attend nearby high schools with Recruitment Officers to share your student experiences.
  • Managing electronic mailboxes for SFAD and recruitment; direct communications regarding future students.
  • Send post-experience surveys and document successes. Report on stats regrading survey outcomes.
  • Assemble visitor packages and swag.

Hourly Rate: $15.00

Position Qualifications

  • Must be an undergraduate, domestic student,
  • Must be a full-time student in good academic standing,
  • Must demonstrate financial need by completing a scholarship application (especially section on financial need) as outlined here https://uleth.academicworks.ca/users/sign\_in
  • Must have experience with Microsoft office systems
  • Must be able to work well with others and as a team and to be open to receiving direction and feedback from supervisors.
