Position Summary
As a Compliance Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the college adheres to all applicable Ministry guidelines, laws, regulations, and internal policies. You will be responsible for monitoring, implementing, and improving compliance measures across various departments while maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct and operational efficiency. Your expertise will support student success, regulatory compliance, and the ongoing reputation of AOLCC as a trusted educational institution.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Development and delivery of quality programming with a minimum 80% retention and graduation rate.
- Ensuring all employees meet Ministry standards with respect to curriculum, program delivery, and Ministry procedures.
- Full end-to-end responsibility for Ministry compliance and audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student contact information and files.
- Prepare student action plans in compliance with Ministry and OSAP guidelines.
- Support the finance team with the timely processing of withdrawals and refunds.
- Guide student services on compliance-related action items, including study plans, warning emails, withdrawals, restarts, and postponements.
- Organize and oversee weekly student activities on a rotation basis.
- Assist the management team with audits, KPI reports, and regulatory submissions.
- Contribute to the development and updating of documentation, such as student handbooks.
- Monitor the Independent Learning System (ILS) to identify students needing academic assistance.
- Provide clear, patient, and accurate responses to student inquiries in a timely manner.
- Enforce all Academy of Learning policies fairly, consistently, and immediately.
- Promote a culture of accountability and integrity, ensuring compliance measures are well understood by staff and students.
- Safeguard the colleges reputation as a reliable and compliant educational institution.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Law, Education, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong understanding of compliance regulations, Ministry guidelines, and post-secondary education requirements.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in compliance software, MS Office Suite, and student information systems.
