About the role

Clow Canada is a national manufacturer of fire hydrants, valves and water/wastewater accessories to the Canadian market with roots dating back to the 1800s.

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional looking to contribute to the success of a well-established organization? We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team on the day shift. In this role, you will support the financial operations of the company through accurate reporting, analysis, and coordination of accounting activities. We’re looking for a resourceful and versatile individual who thrives in a collaborative office environment and is committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.

Job Description

On the daily, you will:

Record daily financial transactions within Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, including validation, reconciliation of data, and preparation of month end reporting Review system generated invoicing to ensure accuracy and timely distribution to customers Apply customer payments and follow up directly on late or missed payments to maintain current aging Investigate and resolve customer deductions in a timely manner Complete month end AR closing and prepare required reporting for the Corporate Office Review employee expense reports in Concur to ensure compliance with company policies and approval requirements Process intercompany accounts payable, ensure balances are accurate, and settle amounts monthly Reconcile sales tax accounts and prepare monthly government remittances Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for management approval Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to requests Provide excellent customer service to internal business partners and stakeholders

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Post secondary education in Accounting or Finance; 3 to 5 years of relevant experience; Proficiency with the Microsoft Office 365 suite; Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively; Experience with Dynamics AX is an asset.
