What your day and week can look like:
As a Recovery Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end repossession and remarketing relationship between AutoCapital Canada (CancCap Group Inc) and our recovery vendors. Reporting to the Repayment Services Management team, this role ensures timely recovery, efficient vendor coordination, and maximum return on remarketed assets, while maintaining compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Repossession Management

Coordinate the repossession process for delinquent accounts, ensuring all legal and procedural requirements are met.

Assign and monitor repossession orders with third-party vendors or agencies.

Track asset recovery progress and maintain accurate, up-to-date system records.

Communicate professionally with agents, and internal departments regarding repo status and next steps.

Evaluate delinquent accounts to determine suitability for repossession, balancing risk, cost, and customer circumstances.

Serve as the escalation point for complex cases, including cost approvals, partial redemptions, and exception handling.

Ensure repossession decisions align with overall collections and recovery strategy.
Vendor Oversight and Relationship Management
- Oversee day-to-day performance of RecoveryHub, ensuring timely and appropriate action on assigned files.
- Monitor vendor compliance policies.
- Provide direction, feedback, and issue resolution to RecoveryHub to improve quality, efficiency, and recovery outcomes.
Analysis and Reporting
- Develop real-time reporting, dashboards, and KPI tracking.
- Manage vendor integrations and reporting for marketing and lead gen tools.
- Monitor lead intake processes and identify inefficiencies.
- Generate monthly lead generation and partner performance reports.
- Oversee Salesforce CRM health, workflow automation, and monitoring.
- Conduct testing for system improvements and process enhancements.
- Ensure compliance monitoring across marketing and CRM activities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Business, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 2–4 years in collections, asset recovery, or remarketing (auto finance experience preferred).
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and repossession management systems.
- Knowledge of repossession laws, and remarketing practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
This role is a hybrid work structure, with 50% of your time spent in office and 50% working from home. This could change based on the needs of the business.
