About the role

Infrastructure Ontario (IO), an Ontario crown corporation, provides a wide range of services to support the Ontario government’s initiative to modernize and maximize the value of public infrastructure and realty. Position Purpose:
The Vice President of Partnerships will influence, coordinate, and manage IO’s engagement strategies with ministries, agencies, public sector entities, and key partners. This role oversees the Partnerships team, driving enterprise functions such as Intake and Triage of new projects and customer relationship management (CRM) services and collaborates across IO to identify opportunities for joint projects and partnerships, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.

What You Will Do:

  • Influence, coordinate, and manage a responsive Partnerships team, ensuring effective delivery of enterprise services such as Intake and CRM functions.
  • Oversee the development, administration, and continuous improvement of Intake and CRM processes and partnerships tools to enhance user experience and organizational efficiency.
  • Lead the delivery of the client assessment and market survey exercises to strengthen IO’s external stakeholder relationships.
  • Guide project teams through the Intake process, providing feedback and recommendations to prepare projects for executive consideration.
  • Review and update the comprehensive partnerships strategy that prioritizes client relationships through a tiered support model and define service offerings across IO.
  • Utilize data from CRM and Intake systems to measure success, revise strategies, and inform decision-making.
  • Represent IO in meetings with senior government officials, including Deputy Ministers, Assistant Deputy Ministers, and other executives, ensuring alignment of objectives and fostering collaboration.
  • Provide government relations coaching and guidance to senior leaders on best practices for engaging government and key partners, modeling high-quality relationship management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop new tools, improve processes, and leverage analytics for strategic planning.
  • Identify opportunities for professional CRM upgrades and oversee the Partnerships SharePoint portal to maintain accurate and accessible information.
  • Foster staff development within the Partnerships team, identifying training needs and creating opportunities for growth.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Significant experience in government or government relations, ideally within the Ontario provincial sphere, with a strong understanding of public sector decision-making processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, coordinate, and manage complex initiatives across multiple teams and organizational levels.
  • Professional learnings that reflect expertise in strategic planning, relationship management, and process optimization.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to engage effectively with executives, government officials, and key partners.
  • Ability to interpret data and insights from CRM and Intake systems to inform strategies and improve service delivery.
  • Experience in leading teams, fostering collaboration, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge and appreciation of enterprise-wide planning and governance concepts, with the ability to align diverse objectives into cohesive strategies.

We offer a competitive salary range of $145,500 to $218,200 (M4 level), pay will align with skills, knowledge and experience of the candidate.
