Position Overview
As a Service Assistant at Cabot, you should share a passion for service excellence and infuse enthusiasm into everything you do. You will support and assist the service team by working in various roles and stations in our many restaurants. These responsibilities include greeting and seating guests, managing the reservations, supporting the bar team, expediting food from the kitchen pass, running food from the kitchen to the guests, and bussing tables.
Working as a Service Assistant is a wonderful way to develop a broad range of knowledge in a busy food & beverage operation. The role is exciting and busy, and if you are keen to learn, we are keen to teach. As you gain experience, opportunities to move into other service roles will become available. You are proud to represent the Cabot brand, and proactively act as an ambassador and role model.

- Customer Interaction: Engaging with guests, addressing their needs, and ensuring a positive experience through direct interaction.
- Organization: Arranging and preparing the dining area for guests, ensuring everything is in place and ready for their arrival.
- Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with colleagues, communicating well, and working together as a team to provide a seamless experience for customers.
- Attention to Detail: Paying close attention to details, such as correctly setting tables, accurately delivering orders, and meeting specific customer requests.
- Efficiency: Contributing to a smoothly running dining area by efficiently performing tasks that ensure service runs smoothly and meets guest preferences.

- Ability to work flexible hours – weekends and evenings as required
- A Passion to learn and development further knowledge in the hospitality industry

- Must be professional, personable and well-presented
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Requirements Of The Role You Should Be Aware Of
- Based on the nature of our business and the service we provide to our guests, to work with us, you must consent to a criminal background check as a condition of employment and an additional criminal background check every two years.
- As a seasonal resort business, you can anticipate a schedule that will involve day, evening, night, and weekend work.
- Long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing, and crouching while performing other duties is to be expected
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and otherwise moving objects up to 75 lbs in weight
- Frequently ascending or descending stairs and ramps
- There may be interactions with patrons who are impaired
- Constant focus and repetitive work are to be expected
- Based on the nature of this position, you would experience long periods of guest interactions
