Roles and Responsibilities
- Install and service cabling infrastructure and devices for Data and Audio-Visual; includes pre-wiring, installation, termination, testing, reporting, and labeling per specifications and drawings
- Install network racks and cabinets in server rooms
- Ensure that safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
- Complete detailed and accurate paperwork
- Interact with customers and prospects, ensuring all inquiries are handled professionally
- Perform other tasks as required
Required Skills
- Post-secondary education in electrical, telecommunications, or electronics would be an asset
- Flexibility to work in a variety of environments, from construction areas to finished offices
- Physical ability to perform the requirements of the job, including pulling cable on a regular basis
- Comfortable working at heights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
Required Experience
- Experience as a Data Technician considered an asset, will consider qualified technicians and beginners
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- Experience in a construction environment
- Experience in commercial construction is an asset

- Travel may be required
