About the role

Northern Health is seeking a skilled and innovative Engineer, Data Analytics to lead the design and development of enterprise-wide data infrastructure and analytics systems that support strategic decision-making across the organization.

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, the Engineer, Data Analytics is responsible for design, development, validation and implementation of Northern Health’s analytics data infrastructure and systems required for data storage, processing, and analysis. This role designs, develops and manages the data pipelines that enable efficient and reliable data integration, transformation, and delivery for all data users across the enterprise. The Analytics Data Engineer regularly works with Northern Health Leadership, Digital Health, Corporate and Clinical Services and cross functional operational teams to inform and develop data solutions supporting organizational strategic plans and goals.

The Engineer, Data Analytics creates and prepares data required for modern business intelligence and analytics solutions, implements automated methods to improve data reliability and quality, gathers requirements from key informants to build data models and cloud-native, scalable and sustainable data pipelines and workflows within Northern Health and shared analytics data platforms. Serves as a subject matter expert/consultant on enterprise-wide projects, at times being exclusively allocated to specific projects such as the Northern Health Enterprise Transformation (NExT), providing technical coaching and guidance to members of technical teams.

Starting salary will be approximately from $88,990 to $111,237 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.
